Director of Nursing
Brief info

McKenna began her career as a CNA specializing in memory care where she gained firsthand experience with Alzheimer's by caring for her grandmother with Lewy body dementia, both as a family member and a nurse. The experience ignited her passion for senior-living and she developed a strong desire to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. She is certified in the CARES Dementia program from HCI and the Alzheimer’s Association, which focuses on daily living and activities, dementia related behaviors, advanced and late-stage dementia care. After working as a Lead Medication Technician and CNA, she pursued her education in nursing, earning her LPN degree.

Throughout her journey, she has taken on various roles such as CNA, Charge Nurse, Educator, and Training Specialist. McKenna and her husband recently moved to Tennessee, where they embraced the warm hospitality of the South and made it their home. As the newly appointed Director of Nursing at The Lodge, McKenna is thrilled and honored to take on this role. She is eager to be involved in all aspects of the residents' lives and work closely with the team to provide exceptional care. McKenna understands the trust that families have placed in The Lodge and is committed to ensuring the well-being and happiness of the residents.

McKenna is grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of seniors and apply her knowledge and experience in her new role.
