I like everything about The Lodge, I was at a previous retirement home and they were okay, but once I came here things were great. The menu, the staff, they can’t do enough to help you. The staff are always making sure you are okay and satisfied. The care givers and nurses are fantastic, I have some physical problems and the nurses here can relate which makes me feel great. I love the nature surrounding The Lodge, and I have an automobile if I want to go anywhere. They treat you like family here. It is fabulous!
The Lodge offers a nice environment that’s beautiful, spacious, and well-designed with a lot of great amenities. It was important to us that my mother felt as if she was at home being here, and that we knew she felt safe and secure with the place she would be living in. All the staff takes a personal interest in the residents, and The Lodge has excellent caregivers. Meals are excellent. My mother has special dietary needs and the chefs have been outstanding in assisting her while allowing her to maintain interest in what she has to eat.
We love The Lodge so much that we have used them for 2 relatives now. My Mother-In-Law lived there in 2016 up until she passed away, and now my mother is living there. The food is EXCELLENT, thanks to David’s leadership. The staff is incredibly caring and kind. Thank you all for taking such good care of Mom!
I love The Lodge because everyone is there for you… night or day. Everyone has personality plus, and I think my son made the right decision bringing me here, the place is fabulous! Head Chef David is fabulous we have a menu and we get to pick whatever we want to eat each meal. The activities here are great; we always keep busy whether it is playing bingo or watching engaging performances. The activities make the days go by beautifully. Being here is like being with family. All the girls are like my daughters, they come to visit me every night, and if anyone wants to come see for themselves, they’ll see this place is fabulous!
I am so grateful for The Lodge’s staff. The Lodge was home for my mother for 3 1/2 years. She loved the residents and the staff. They treated her with dignity and respect and they truly loved her. You know you are in a good place when you see so many people smiling and having a good time just being together.
Oh my goodness, when I came in the front door before it was even finished; cathedral ceilings, chandeliers, fireplaces, it felt like home already! One look and I chose my room right then, beautiful in every way! I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The staff here are wonderful… they try to help you in any way they can. And the kitchen; you couldn’t ask for better service than the cooks in the kitchen. They treat me like family. If they didn’t I wouldn’t be here. Being ninety-one years old I must have the care that I need. I was a nurse for forty years and I can tell good care when I see it, and this place is great. The meals are wonderful and they accommodate my needs in every way. Ted and the activities he has here for us are just great. He tries to please everyone within everything that we do. We go on many adventures and get to go places whenever we would like. The Lodge is amazing in every way!
Dad loves living here. Great director, caring staff, clean, well-run facility. The director, John, knows how to manage good talent and The Lodge is fortunate to have a chef with advanced degrees in culinary arts and a background in fine dining. When you ask Dad his favorite thing about The Lodge, his answer is “THE FOOD!” We agree. Chef David has very high standards for food quality. He cooks from scratch, with high-quality ingredients. The meals he and his staff turn out are as good as any high-end restaurant in the city. Hand-made crab cakes with house-made dill sauce, shrimp and grits, short ribs, and pecan pie are just a few of his most requested dishes. The house-made salad dressings are delicious. Families of residents know about this ‘secret’ place for an amazing lunch. Not only are Chef David and the dining staff amazing in the kitchen, you can tell they genuinely care about the residents, and the feeling is mutual. After cooking, Chef David comes into the dining room and visits with the residents. You can tell they love him. Five stars for awesome food and a warm, safe, loving atmosphere!
