Valerie Degati is the Executive Director of the Lodge at Natchez Trace. Valerie began her career in the marketing industry in NYC. In the early 90’s, she became an EMT and that began a 30 + year career in healthcare with her focus on Seniors. Valerie’s experience includes many aspects of senior care including caregiving, activities, sales/marketing, administration, care management and consulting. In addition, Valerie has spent several years in the hospice industry providing education to patients and families and developing strong relationships with referral partners, including Skilled/Long Term Care and Assisted Living Communities, hospitals and physician groups in the middle Tennessee area. Valerie also started her own consulting company to focus on geriatric care management and care coordination which allowed her to gain a deep understanding of the Nashville market for independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and long-term care facilities. Valerie is a true servant leader, and her passion is helping families navigate through our complex healthcare system. Being an advocate for seniors is her driving force. Valerie is originally from the East Coast and moved to Nashville in 2000 with her husband of 35+ years! Valerie enjoys spending time with her family, including her beautiful grandchildren. She is a passionate cook and baker, loves to garden, enjoys travel, and is a bird enthusiast.
